Our lead RD, Sam, recommends building your snap hacks to include protein, veggies & healthy fat, since the combination of fat, fiber and protein helps to keep you full.
- Ground beef side (could also sub in our Components chicken thigh, Components chicken breast or other protein of your choice)
- Components coconut rice
- Components roasted zucchini & squash
- If you’ve got it from home, put these on a bed of romaine & add some cheddar cheese or guacamole (or both!)
The beauty of this “recipe” is that you can mix-and-match based on your preferences and what you have on hand. The end result will still be delicious! If you’re trying to eat low carb, omit the rice. If you don’t eat meat, pile on extra veggies instead and healthy fat in the form of guacamole instead.
